Okay! Today, let's get the magical MEW! This glitch requires very specific things! Here is a simple list I put together:
- Pokemon Yellow Special Pikachu Edition
- HM02 FLY
- A Pokemon with a special stat of 21
- A pokemon that can fight a Lvl.7 without brutally defeating it.
- A trainer you haven't fought yet.
- Access to Cinnabar Island and Pokemon Mansion.
- The patience to go find a ditto.
Okay. Go find a trainer and have your pokemon with 21 special stat with you. Sat 1 step out of sight, then save. Now this is the tricky part. As soon as you step in their view, press START. If you get caught, just try again. Once you are in your start menu after not being caught, FLY to Cinnabar Island. Then go to pokemon mansion. Don't be worried if you cannot access the START menu. Then, find a ditto without fighting anything. Let the ditto use transform on the pokemon with the Special stat of 21. Then, make it faint. Now, (I recommend having an escape rope to use.) go to the Nugget Bridge, near Cerulean City. The start menu will pop up, but press B. Then, mew should appear. This glitch can also be used to find MissingNo. (I am pretty sure the special stat must be something around 67) and different pokemon like Alakazam and Dragonite, but they will all be Lvl.7 so be prepared.
